How to restore your Patapouf

An easy way to bring new life into your Patapouf doll.

First of all I would suggest you avoid washing it by hand, it will only complicate matters. 

The water will make the doll heavy and difficult to wash with ease.

First Step. Unstitch and remove the head from the body at the shoulders with care and then empty the old stuffing.

Second step. Insert the emptied body fabric into your washing machine at 30°C using a delicate wash cycle, you can also use your favorite fabric conditioner.

Third step. Hand wash the head at a mild warm temperature using a wool detergent. Alternatively the head can be washed in your washing machine inside a pillow case for protection.

Fourth step. A shady location outside is the right place to dry your Patapouf. Be careful to not dry her in direct sunlight because it might damage her color.

Fifth step. When she is totally dry, start refilling her with new pillow stuffing. 

Final step. You have to stich the head back and if you want a more steady result you can use a zip tie to stabilize the head around the neck.

Now you have a perfectly clean parapouf, with a nice refreshing smell !!! :)
